Cold Front

In the winter of 1985, I was driving through our pasture to go deer hunting. It was the first big cold front of the year, and lying in the middle of the open pasture was Trigger, my Shetland pony I had owned since I was 5. I realized that was going to be Trigger's last cold front, and, since I didn't want him to suffer, I put him out of his misery. The thing about Trigger was he was a terrible pony. I don't think there was one time in my young life when I climbed in Trigger's saddle that he did not throw me. Either he was a bad pony or I was a bad rider, but I am blaming Trigger. Even knowing that making the decision that Trigger was done was a really hard decision to make. I write this to show that I know exactly how the Democrats felt yesterday when Obama showed up at the White House. It was like the first big cold front was blowing through, and when the party saw Biden in the presence of Obama they all had to realize that they have ridden him about as far as they can ride him. For me, it was sad watching the President of the United States wander around aimlessly while the star of the show was getting all of the attention. Some media are saying Obama was brought in to save the Biden administration, but I believe he was brought in to save the Democratic Party by being the cold front and to show the Democrats that after the mid-terms it will be time to get a new horse. In December of 2020, I posted my thought that Hunter was a gift to the Democrats and that he would be the tool the Democrats could use to remove Biden without invoking the 25th Amendment, and could also give themselves credit for removing corruption, even if it was their own President. Well, Hunter is in the spotlight again and Biden just found himself stuck in the middle of a cold front. I have been where the leaders of the Democratic Party currently are, and I feel their pain.
