"COVID Deaths"

As of Sept 16, there have been approximately 182,000 deaths attributed to COVID 19. Of those, approx. 144,000 have been people 65 and older. In the CARES Act, Medicare pays hospitals who treat Medicare COVID patients a 20% premium for those patients and if that patient goes on a ventilator there are provisions that allow the hospital to be paid up to three times as much as if you would have been diagnosed with anything else. Recently the Trump administration started requiring tests to verify COVID before that premium is paid, hospitals did not like that. In other words, hospitals did not necessarily have to confirm COVID before that. In that you will find COVID cases does not require a test to verify the cause of death, and coroners do not come into play for most deaths. It also states that no matter what the patient died from they must put the cause of death as the most recent diagnosis. In other words, if you were in the last days of life and was diagnosed with COVID, positive test or not, COVID should be put on the death certificate as the cause of death. COVID is real, but it is also really hyped. There is an effort to shut our economy down and destroy businesses because an election is coming up. Unfortunately, I do not believe it is being used just to try to beat Trump, but to beat Trump and have a crushed economy so the government can come to the rescue. The same thing is happening with riots and looting in the name of racial justice. If Biden won, the government could come to the rescue. The government would also have to come to the rescue for wildfires, hurricanes, education, free college, gun violence rather than addressing the criminals using the guns, inequities, LGBTQ+ justice, education, CEO inequalities, wealth distribution, and to the rescue of any other victim group. There is one problem with government rescues, there are strings attached. Winners and losers are chosen, overcorrection must happen to appease those with victim status, new entitlements must be created that become rights, and freedoms are taken away. Interestingly, that is the same way Socialism marches in. If you vote Democrat you are voting for Socialism, whether you are a socialist or not.
