Make Believe

This morning I was watching a clip of a press briefing being held by Jen Psaki. Something she repeated multiple times was "the President has said, the President has decided, and the President has ordered", and it occurred to me all of this is just make believe. The media asks questions about the President's thoughts on current events, the spokespeople make statements for the President, speechwriters hand him speeches and he stumbles through them as if they are his words, Democrats praise the President, and Republicans criticize the President, but, in reality, there is nobody in America that really believes with all their hearts that President Biden is doing anything. Whether a person voted for him or not, nobody pictures this President showing up at the Oval office at the crack of dawn being briefed and getting down to work. Nobody pictures this President going down the hallway with people walking along beside him trying to quickly get that last comment or request in because they know they will not be able to fit into his schedule for the rest of the day. Nobody pictures Biden, nor do they even pretend in their minds, sitting in a room full of intelligence and military advisers making bold decisions. With past President's people in the WH have spoken about their rules on getting to meetings on time, about their work ethic, about what time they get to the office, and about their demeanor in meetings, and about the role they let their VP play or not play in these meetings and decisions, but you never hear any of this about Biden. Nobody is asking about these things because nobody believes for even a second that the Biden Presidency is real. I believe every single intelligent American, every foreign government, ally or enemy, every Republican and Democrat voter, every politician, every member of this administration, and every member of the media knows, whether we admit it or not, President Biden being President is just an act, just a play, and we are all just the audience watching all of these bad actors performing horribly and we are all laughing and clapping like we did when we went to our first grader's class play. Every now and then the lead actor wanders off script and the people putting on the play at first panics, then say "how cute was that but lets be better prepared for that the next time". We know the acting is horrible, but after the performance we tell our child they did great, all while knowing we are lying to our child; except for that one parent who really does want to believe their child is on the way to Hollywood. The only difference is lying to our first grader encourages them to improve even more, but going along with this lie just allows those who voted for this President to believe they have done something good for our country, for those who oppose him just to criticize rather than take real action to stop the US from continuing down this slippery slope, and allows all of us to go to bed at night thinking the play will be over one day and none of the harm these people are doing will last because all we have to do is reset the stage when the play is over. Unfortunately, if we allow the show to go on there will be no stage to reset.
