Man-Made Crisis

The following article is from CNN. It is an article that focuses on an energy crisis in China and Europe, but we in the US need to understand we are caught up in an energy crisis as well. Winter Storm Uri was kind of the small flicker of your lights you get during a storm that is a warning to you to prepare for the complete outage that is about to come. I know the report says China is trying to solve an emissions issue but, in reality, China is building coal fired plants like crazy. There is a claim that a resolution is more renewable energy, but the blind pursuit of renewable energy is the cause of this man-made crisis. Any place that has a mature renewable energy market has an unreliable electric grid. We do not have to look outside of our country to see this, all we have to do is look at California, and Texas is in hot pursuit. Natural Gas prices have increased significantly in the U.S. and astronomically in Europe. The U.S., especially Texas, is sitting on enormous supplies of energy, but capital investment by energy companies has ground to a halt due to a government who has proven they do not care if a company follows the rules, because our government is willing to come in after permitting projects and the company has spent billions of dollars and shutting the project down. If the government would give US companies comfort to invest, we would be exporting energy to resolve the world shortage. Instead, while our companies are sitting on the sidelines, Russia is looking to become the premier provider of energy for Europe's and China's needs. You do not have to be an expert in geopolitics to understand the problem with that. All while this is happening our government is trying to pass a $3.5T deal to fund renewable energy and to subsidize electric cars, which makes perfect sense during a shortage of electricity. There is nothing that threatens our position as an economic superpower more than an attack on domestic energy. There is nothing that positions us for socialism more than an attack on domestic energy. This is not some inadvertently man-made crisis; this is an intentionally contrived crisis. In February, the state of Texas was 4 minutes away from a total blackout that is predicted to have taken more than a month to resolve. Only one thing kept our grid from going black and that was the natural gas business, no matter what you are hearing in the MS and social media. We are in a hole and our government has not only continued to dig but has gotten a bigger shovel. I complain about the Democrats, especially the leftists, often, but the destruction of good energy policy is a direct attack on our nation from within. We are on the edge of a cliff barely hanging on and gravity is about to take us over. Any Democrats, Trump haters, deniers of the truth, or even Republicans who are just sitting on their hands hoping for the best need to remember these words when they are sitting in the dark and people are dying like they did in Uri, and when we ask who caused this we need to realize that we did by voting for people that promised us in their campaigns that they were going to destroy an energy business that was completely reliable and replace it with one that placed reliability way down on the priority list.
