Mandate Addiction

Is there such a thing as an addiction to Mandates? For most normal people, no matter their party affiliation, the answer is no, but there is one group of people who are absolutely addicted to mandates: liberal leftist politicians. Look at any time Democrats win an election, especially when it goes down ballot, and immediately they say, "the people have given us a mandate". If they legislated like they ran that may even be true, but, for example, if you look at the 2020 Presidential election the Dems ran Biden as the moderate, as someone that would not let the party, or country, to be taken over by the likes of AOC or Bernie. When they won the pundits said the voters have given a mandate. Unfortunately, for all of us the mandate they believed they had was to destroy our capitalist way of life, destroy our energy advantage, and become a socialist state; it matters not how bad the citizens are harmed during the process. They truly believe they have a mandate to do these things and when polls say all people disagree, including those who voted for them, they cannot rid themselves of their addiction. When the voters in liberal cities absolutely destroy, in the voting booth, any candidate with BLM or supports defunding the police, the liberal city councils cut police spending even more. The recent election should be a warning to the left that they do not have a mandate and it may be time for them to go to a mandate rehab, but, just like any other addict, they say that can't be true and the only way they can see to solve their issues is to dive deeper into their addiction, all while dragging us deeper into the devastating results of being trapped in a relationship with addicts. Unfortunately, we have many Republican politicians that when they get elected, they are so concerned about the mandate addiction that they do not follow through with the policies they promised that got them elected. It is time for us to hold both sides of the aisle accountable. Remember policies put in place by these addicts never go away, they are just slowed down or put on the shelf until the next group of mandate addicts get in power, then that policy is refueled and intensified like a meth addiction of an addict who is finally reunited with his meth pipe after a long term absence.
