Michelle's Speech

I have to admit that I did not watch the first night of the Democratic Convention, but this morning on CNN they heaped praise on Michelle Obama. They said her speech was the best of the night and it was incredible and would fire up the base, so I decided to watch her speech. If CNN is correct and Michelle hit the home run, my question is how did people stay awake for the rest of evening. In practice, her coaches had to have said deliver this at a cadence that would be appropriate for elementary school kids in a library at story time, you know as if you were explaining something to Biden. Also they had to have told her to end every sentence with a cracking voice as if she were about to cry. If Michelle's speech was the best of the night, as CNN said, then the rest of the speakers must have made Biden look like Tony Robbins, because that was one of the worst, darkest, most depressing speeches I have ever listened to. The goal of Michelle's speech was to appeal to black voters, that is obvious. If that is true, black voters should be offended that the Democrats do not believe they deserve something better than that speech. Everybody should watch that speech. While watching the speech, remember that Michelle Obama is the best of the Democratic party, she is the brightest star they have, and realize they are offering the best they have through Michelle. When you put it in that context, you realize how bad that party really is.
