Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste?

I have seen several posts where people have posed the question as to who would get the COVID vaccine when it comes out. I have a different question, what if they don't give us a choice? Will they pass a law that states we absolutely must get the vaccine? I doubt it, even though it wouldn't surprise me. Is it possible that governors and mayors pass laws saying the only way restaurants and bar owners can open is if they only allow patrons who have been vaccinated and only employ those who have been vaccinated? Is it possible that laws could be passed that allows only those children who have been vaccinated, along with their immediate families, to go back to school? Is it possible that local laws could be passed that prevents service providers from entering homes unless they, as well as the homeowners, are vaccinated? Is it possible that laws could be passed that require proof of vaccine before purchases in person could be made? Could laws be passed that give churches "the right" to allow 100% attendance to worship if those in attendance can prove they have received the vaccine? Could laws like these be passed in the name of health safety? Looking at current events, and the overstepping of boundaries by many governors and mayors, would make it impossible to say that this could never happen. Is it probable? Nobody knows, but I do know Rahm Emmanuel, Obama's former Chief of Staff, once said "You never want a serious crisis go to waste. I mean, it's an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before".

With mail-in voting the Democrats proved they will never let a crisis go to waste, and the citizens proved they will let it happen. What kind of other things could be done, and we would allow, that could not have been done before?

Before anybody questions whether I believe the virus is real, or if it poses a threat to some, the answer is yes. There is no doubt it is real and there is no doubt it impacts some people in a really bad way. With that said, fear should not be a reason for us to follow government mandates, especially local and state, without question.
