Pain vs. Paralysis

Pain vs. Paralysis. Many people on both sides of the aisle are questioning why this administration is not sanctioning Russian oil. When this question is asked it is almost always tied to the question of why Keystone pipeline was shut down. Putting these two questions together really makes it very easy for this administration to address by replying, "Keystone would not have made a difference with supply in this current situation". They can say these things because we are a country full of people who are completely energy illiterate. When we talk about the destruction of energy independence that has been caused by this administration, we have to realize Keystone is just a very small part of that, because there are interstate pipelines that are already built that can be expanded but this administration is doing everything it can to block that. There are new infrastructure projects that can be built that would help get fossil fuels to the market relatively quickly, but new rules are being passed on a regular basis that prevents this from happening. This administration loves all the focus put on Keystone because that takes the focus off this administration's all out attack on the entire fossil fuel industry. While we have been building windmills that absolutely make our electrical grid far less reliable, Russia, China, and other unfriendly countries have been preparing to meet the world's energy needs and laughing at the US for sitting on all this fossil fuel and joining things like the Paris Accord so that we cannot use our energy to protect the world from tyrants. Now for the Pain vs. Paralysis. What we all need to understand is that this administration wants fuel prices to be high because they think the pain will cause people to demand renewable energy and electric vehicles to meet our needs, even though it is completely impossible for renewable energy and electric vehicles to meet our needs without an expansion of the fossil fuel industry. On the other hand, if this administration puts sanctions on Russian oil there will not only be pain, but there will be paralysis. The price of fuel will bring this country to a standstill, because the cost of every item we buy will go through the roof. When people cannot afford to buy, companies cannot afford to manufacture so scarcity becomes the norm. If companies cannot manufacture, they do not need workers. If their agenda comes together, which it will, the rally cry by the Democrats in 2024 will be "look at all these people hurting and they all need government handouts". The divide between rich and poor will be expanded so they will be able to say, "look at all the rich people, they need to pay their fair share". They will be able to point out a demographic, whether that be based on race, gender, or the crisis of gender identity created by Democrats, and say "look, these people are impacted more than anybody else; therefore, we need to make them a protected class" that way these "victims" will grow to depend on the party. If you voted for Biden and you still do not believe this administration is in the process of destroying America, just go to CNN and MSNBC and see how many times the names Biden or Harris are mentioned in headlines. Earlier this morning, they were not mentioned at all on CNN's website. Multiple world crises are taking place and "the leader of the free world" is not even mentioned. At least one thing has happened, if we have been guilty of the sin of being an overly prideful nation the Democratic party has healed us.
