Progressive Movement

Running into the loving, secure, and safe arms of "Mother Nature" is a climate change activist's dream. The picture of earth is painted so often to make it look like a big old field of wildflowers meant for all mankind to hold hands and frolic through, but that is not the environment we live in at all. The Earth is a dangerous, ever-changing place, and the only way man survives is through innovation to improve our chances to survive. There is a life expectancy chart in Statista that shows the life expectancy in the US from 1860-2020. According to Statista, in 1860 the life expectancy in the US was 39 years, in 2020 it was 79 years. What happened over that period of time to increase the life expectancy of people in the US? Has the great mother of nature become more loving and coddling over that period of time? That could be true if we did not look at many undeveloped nations like the Central Republic of Africa, which has the lowest life expectancy of 52 years. According to the UN there are 14 nations with a life expectancy less than 60. What created the life expectancy spread between developed and undeveloped nations? Obviously, that "developed" part has had a pretty big impact, and the biggest impact on development has been fossil fuels. Modern medical equipment, medicine, shelter. comfort, food supply, to name just a few things have improved because of fossil fuels in developed nations. These improvements help protect us from the harshness of this earth. When we hear the studies concerning climate change, we must remember the earth is not a hermetically sealed lab, but an ever changing world, which this global warming volcano confirms. In the progressive movement today, it is demanded that sacrifices must be made to mother nature at the expense of man. Why is that? One could believe this movement is in rebellion to the following:
Genesis 1:26-28 -Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
This one scripture is just full of things that flies in the face of everything in the progressive movement. The following things are most offensive to the progressive movement: there is no "Mother" in Us, man having dominion over anything is not equitable or inclusive, and that part about "male and female He created them" - HATER.
I remember when we went on an Alaskan cruise and saw valleys and lakes that were formed by glaciers that were once there. This made me rub my chin while pondering, "I wonder how many fossil fuels were being processed when the earth warmed enough to melt those glaciers?". Just one of those things that make me go hmmmm.
