Silver Lining

Have you ever had to say goodbye to somebody and just held on as long as you could and then stood waving until they were completely out of sight? Well, that is what normal, working class Democrats have been doing with their party. They want to believe this is the old Democrat party that portrayed itself as the party of the working class. Unfortunately for them, it hasn't been that party for way longer than I have been voting. I never thought I would say this but there may be a silver lining to Biden being elected. The leaders of the Democratic party realized a Socialist like Bernie could never get elected, but if a figurehead was put into office who was not capable of his own thoughts, along with a VP that was so incompetent that she would possibly make him look competent, then the socialists like Bernie, AOC, Omar, Tlaib could take over trying to transform our capitalist society to a socialist one by spewing racism while claiming everybody that disagreed with them were racists. They believed that if they highlighted enough crises and created enough enemies of the people, such as inequity, systemic racism, climate change, the unvaccinated, an unfair economy, and the "rich" then they could storm in to solve those problems with their socialist/communist agenda without any resistance from an incapacitated President. Most of the MSM media were elated by this because they no longer had to pretend they were reporting the news and could finally show where their true loyalty was, and it wasn't to their viewers. All of these folks worked together to portray this country to be divided to a point that it couldn't be put back together; a division between the Democratic Party and everybody else. Unfortunately for them, the American people have started waking up. Liberal Democrats are not willing to transition from liberalism to socialism. Moderate Democrats, the working class, still believe work is important, and being a dependent of the government is not good. Democrats, Independents, and Republicans alike who care about the environment have realized that the Green New Deal is not about the environment at all. Finally, the attack on Manchin has made everybody aware that the division in this country is not between the Democrats and Republicans, and not between Liberals and Conservatives, but it is between the Socialists and everybody else. The Democratic party that many of our fathers voted for has left the station and has been replaced by a Socialist party. When Bernie and the squad are the mouthpieces of a party, very few Americans will align themselves with that party. So, when you are searching for something good that has been accomplished by this administration, exposing the Socialists may be the only thing you will find, but that one accomplishment may be the biggest thing he could have ever done.
