Society: Pursuing a Path of Destruction

Trading the character and integrity of an individual for fairness and equity from society, is that good or bad? There is a book I have read that really is a case study that answers this question, it is called the Holy Bible. One little act of disobedience by a couple who had it all brought a great cost to us all. Moses made a little mistake of disobedience and it cost him the opportunity of entering the Promise Land; a generation of Israelites met that same fate as well. King David, a friend of God, chose something he felt he was entitled to and he, along with the woman involved, had to go through losing a child because of that decision. Jesus Christ, who had no sin, died a torturous death in order that all of us may have the opportunity to live forever, despite our sin. All of us who put our faith in God, and also suffer the consequences that comes with failures of our integrity, look at these acts that do not seem fair or equitable for many and know they happened because there is a plan, a plan that our human minds cannot always comprehend, created by a fair and just God, who IS the definition of character and integrity and who always offers us a path of redemption just as he did for those mentioned above. A society under attack by Satan is always going to focus on being a fair and equitable society rather than holding accountable those individuals who act in a way that shows no character and a total lack of integrity. That society will pursue a path of destruction and implosion, that leads it away from God, and all the decisions made by that country’s leadership will lead them to that end. It has happened before, and it will happen again. Written by a guy who understands disobedience because many times he has suffered the consequences that comes from his own disobedience.
