The Carter Years

There are two things I took away from the convention based on the speeches I heard, I didn't hear all of them:

1. They "Jimmy Cartered" Biden: What I mean by that is they used all the same words they use when describing Carter. They say he is good, decent, empathetic, and a man of faith. That is how they describe Jimmy Carter, but his time as President has been wiped out of the Democrats memory, what was that time like? The top tax rate was 70%, inflation was sky rocketing, interest rates were 18%, people were sitting in lines, long lines, at gas stations because of a gasoline shortage due to an energy crisis, no country respected us, the Iranians even took hostages, and the misery index became popular. To this day Democrats talk about how good of a man Carter is, and I believe he is, but they do not ever, ever mention his Presidential record. What Biden is proposing will take us back to the Carter years and will make the misery index popular again. Unfortunately, he is too old to redeem himself after office by building Habitat for Humanity homes, and we cannot guarantee what we will have another Reagan that comes along to save us.

2. They "burning paper bagged" Trump: Do you remember when we were young, in a time when kids had virtue, before video games? There was a thing some kids did, where they lit a brown paper bag on somebody's front porch, rang the doorbell and ran off. The people would come out and, in a panic without even thinking, stomp on that bag, but would find that it was full of dog mess. The Democrats have spent a good amount of time trying to turn mean Donald Trump into a burning bag, have now placed it on people's porches and rang the doorbell, and are hoping that people, in their panic and without thought, will feel the need to stomp it out . Unfortunately, inside that bag is their Socialist agenda, and once you stomp on it you will find that you have just stepped in a bunch of dog mess, but this mess will not wash off. If you are hearing the political door bell ringing, look at who placed the burning bag on your porch before stomping on it.
